im thinking about buying them but am concerned, what should i be careful of when buying expensive forks like this when there in a 'used condition'?
thanks for answering guysCould you give advice on these forks?
From the looks this is a great deal, price for a 2010 is around $1600(U.S.)
Even if it needs new seals I'd get it.Could you give advice on these forks?
Damage to the stanchions, like scratches and gouges etc, will cause leaks. Damage caused by a crash isn't always visible, which is where you might have a problem if you're buying from abroad (I assume you're UK - ebay.co.uk), get them, only to find out they're knacked. Chances are they'd be fine though, they are 40mm so it'd take hell of a blow to hurt them. I'd want them to have had a full service too.
It's a pretty good deal for good forks. Good feedback too. But tbh I'd rather pay extra for ones from the UK I can see in the flesh. But they hardly ever come up, that's the trouble.
You can get a Marzocchi 888 World Cup ('09) with 160-200mm travel at greenfishsports.com for $970, fella---check it out soonest!
