For anyone over 50, i am unhappy are you? advice!?

ok, i have no reason to complain. i am in pretty good health, 2 homes - one i hate, but it's in my husbands name and it is closer to work so we've got to keep it (wish second home was closer to work), and i have no kids. anyone would think i should be happy but i'm so not.

i look at my less well-to-do friends and envy them. they don't worry about money and the future. they just don't really worry about much. i worry about spending a nickle - and we're middle class!

i think about my life when i was younger. i used to bike ride to the beach and surf and go to silly parties. life seemed so much easier and a hell-of-a-lot-beter. sorry, too old for that now i think.

ok, things i hate are:

where i live - california, too crowded. hate the home i live in; dark and drery

job - feel confined to staying here because of pension from job.

husband - poor thing works like a dog. 2 jobs, trying to save $, bad thing-doesn't interact with my friends.

does anyone feel the same, sorry to whine, but it sure feels good. For anyone over 50, i am unhappy are you? advice!?
I think you reach a point in your life, where you say to yourself that all the stress and b.s. isn't worth it. We spend too much time trying to outdo the other people, that we stop enjoying life - and end up miserable.

For some reason we seem to get too wound up in things, and always on the go.

We gotta take the time to ';smell the roses'; and enjoy life - it's short and we only make this trip once!

Didn't mean to get philosophical...

Best of Luck to you :-)

Paul. (also over 50)
