What advice can you give me re this rented property problem?

Hi. Okay, my g/f has given in her notice on here flat, that's not the issue. She was always promised central heating, but it never materialised. She has been really unwell of late. Only now, four weeks before she is due to leave, has someone turned up to tell her it is getting fitted, this week. A three day job, minimum. Tbh, due to her health, this is not a good time, esp when she has been given no notice of this work, not in writing. Is there anything she can do to defer it until after she leaves? She rents it via an agency. ThanksWhat advice can you give me re this rented property problem?
Tell 'em it is not convenient and that they can do it after she has left.

Contractors cannot enter the property without her permission. What advice can you give me re this rented property problem?
If she was told that ';it is getting fitted, this week'; then that is a notice. I was a property manager here in America and the resident cannot choose when the work is done. Rule of thumb: whenever you are promised something verbally you should get it in writing. Good luck.
They have given her notice. It could be the work will have to be done before she leaves due to scheduling. She could ask they wait but really has no grounds to stop the work.
